Listen now | Want to send me a question? I hosted a live fireside chat via Zoom last month. People sent me questions ahead of time, then I shared my answers with the attendees. We had some more detailed discussions later.
I just wanted to echo what Larry mentioned about networking in the podcast. Over a 35 year career in software development and contracting with 16 different companies, every job was referred to me by my network. Often the person who hired me was someone who I had worked for in a former company and knew that I did good work and could solve the problem they were having. It's good to keep in touch with former supervisors who have moved on to other opportunities -- they may your next hiring manager.

Thanks for commenting, Peter! I'm glad to hear more evidence for this strategy. Your network of happy past colleagues and bosses is so valuable!
